“The Suspect Pen,” Tallahassee 2011

This is the “Suspect Pen” behind Bradley’s Country Store on the outskirts of Tallahassee. Standing beside it you can’t help but want to pant: “Bacon, Bacon, Bacon,” like the dogs do in the popular commercial. The celebrated sausage of the Bradley family started in 1910 when their Grandma Mary Bradley started selling sausage from her kitchen. Visiting the pen, you can’t help but remember what their website maintains: “The famous sausage is put on the counter only after careful selection and slaughter of the hogs, and the application of a special seasoning. Bradley’s uses only top quality hogs, buying from producers they know and trust, occasionally supplementing their supply by buying prize 4–H hogs from the local fair.
