Believe it or not, it does get cold on Miami Beach — cold enough for bums to turn to Santa suits to keep warm. I know because I’ve lived there and in an art deco apartment not designed to hold heat in. Some of the coldest winters of my life were spent there under an electric blanket. On this February day, Santa was sleeping it off on the Lincoln Mall during lunch hour. What was funny was the fact that no one bothered him. Everyone just chuckled softly if they noticed him, but most people simply walked on by. “Only in Miami.”
