Margaret Ross Tolbert is a fabulous nationally acclaimed Florida artist with all the best conservation ethics, and more importantly, she’s an over the top “cool Margaret.” I want to be her when I grow up—for a lot of reasons—and not just because of her incredible artistic talents and her timely focus on Florida Springs. Like some little sister Margaret, this is me trying to imitate her. If you’re not familiar with Tolbert’s work, visit her website and then look at my version of Canon Springs. Yep. No need to feel uncomfortable. I too am starting to realize the improbability of being anything as cool as Margaret Tolbert when I grow up. To make me feel better, Margaret Tolbert insists she will never grow up–and that the whole proposition is ridiculous. Sigh. (She’s just being a “Cool Margaret.”)
