I spent at least two weeks every summer of my childhood with my maternal Grandmother in Leesburg, Florida. Grandmother was a native Floridian, and I found her insights and stories hilarious. It was there in central Florida with her that my fascination with Spanish moss was born. Everywhere we went there was a lake with trees around it decorated in the fabulous garlands.
